20th Annual Glendale Chocolate Affaire
Website Friday, January 30, - Saturday, January 31, 2015 Historic Downtown Glendale Event hours are Friday noon-10 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m. The event is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Glendale, in Murphy Park, located at 58th and Glendale avenues. |
Visitors will delight in the nearly 40 chocolate purveyors, featuring confections like chocolate-covered strawberries, chocolate-drizzled kettle corn, chocolate-covered nuts, berry chocolate kabobs, fudge popsicles, chocolate covered cheesecake and bananas, fried Twinkies and fried Snickers dipped in chocolate and much more, all along with free admission and free parking!
The Chocolate Affaire is sponsored by Arizona’s famous candy makers, Cerreta Candy Company. The candy factory will offer tours all weekend, and visitors can expect to see some football. |

What a better way to connect youth to the Super Bowl and Pro Bowl than to let them play in their own Flag Football tournament! This tournament will be played over two weeks and the Big Game for each division will be played the Saturday before Super Bowl Sunday.

Our annual race will offer something special this year. Wear your favorite NFL team jerseys or wear face paint to show team spirit! The “Super” runs include a 10K, 5K, and 1 mile race. The races are being held on Super Bowl Sunday – Feb. 1, 2015 at the Rio Vista Recreation Center.

Sports related injuries, especially concussions and other head injuries, as well as sudden cardiac arrest issues, have been a major topic the past few years. Working closely with Dr. Dana Seltzer of St. Joseph’s Medical Group, we are creating a Sports Health and Safety Symposium to provide educational opportunities for parents, coaches and trainers, as well as medical professionals.

This is our big game! It’s the Fish Bowl 2015! We are working with our friends at Arizona Game and Fish to stock Pioneer Community Park lake with tagged fish. Those who catch the tagged fish will receive prizes. So the question will be not Who Will Win the Big Game, But Who Caught the Big One! January 31, 2015
