Snapshot Saturday
FLOWER FIELDS IN EL MIRAGE, ARIZONA
& Northwest Valley Family YMCA This week, we made a trip to El Mirage, Arizona to check out the new YMCA on Cinnabar road.
We just happened to stumble upon this stunningly gorgeous field of flowers located to the west of the YMCA. We are unable to determine who owns the land. If you know who does, please contact us. We'd love to interview the owners. The Northwest Valley Family YMCA is a new, nice, clean facility with attentive staff. I was impressed with the workout area, new age water bottle filling fountain, and basketball/volleyball courts. CONNECT WITH THE YMCA IN EL MIRAGE HERE. |
The Wigwam Main Lodge Pool
"Completely redesigned and expanded, the Lodge Pool water complex provides two separate and distinct experiences for children and adults at our Arizona family resort. The Lodge adult pool is an ideal place for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing in the new poolside cabanas. The Lodge children's pool features a 25-foot tower with a twisting water slide and dancing water fountain play areas. Joining the two is a swim canal with overhead pedestrian bridges. Near the adult pool is a Jacuzzi™ and poolside Tower Bar with outdoor grill and dining areas. Let the fun begin."

White Tank Mountain Regional Park
Waterfall Trail Friday, we took a trip to see the beautiful scenery at the White Tanks. This is waterfall trail. Unfortunately, no water is in the waterfall.
We checked out the park's website to learn more about the waterfall. "The waterfall is slowly receding further back into the rock. Think of the time it has taken to do this." When water is in the waterfall, it comes from two waterfalls above it. The pros say it takes a lot of time and a lot of rain to fill those two additional pools for water to "fall" over the edge. Therefore, rarely do you see an actual waterfall on waterfall trail. Learn more about the White Tanks here. |
Our very first Snapshot Saturday focuses on the construction taking place on Estrella Parkway in Goodyear. We asked Councilmember Sheri Lauritano to tell us little more about it.
Goodyear has dedicated $6 Million to streets this year. You can get a glimpse of The City of Goodyear's 2014-2015 budget here.
