Celebrate the holidays on Western Avenue in Avondale! This historic street comes alive with arts & craft booths, live entertainment, food vendors, kids activities including snow in the park! Mr. & Mrs. Clause will join the Mayor on stage to flip the switch to light up the street, and the Clauses will be available for pictures throughout the event. So much holiday fun and cheer to be had at Avondale Winterfest!

Glow on Monroe

This annual Winter parade is a fun way to kick off the holiday season here in Buckeye. Local business owners decorate school buses, tractors and trucks with thousands of holiday lights. The glowing parade moves down Monroe Avenue under a darkened sky on the evening of the second Saturday of December. Once the parade is complete, Santa Claus comes to town and lets children of all ages sit on his lap and whisper their Christmas wishes in his ear. This FREE annual event features the arrival of Santa Claus, the annual City of Goodyear tree lighting, local elementary school choirs, reindeer games, kids activities*, arts and crafts vendors and 40 tons of snow!
Santa will be available for pictures immediately following the tree lighting. Wristbands for specific timeframes will be available in front of the team shop on a first-come first-serve basis. Snow play area will be divided into three age groups: 0-5 years, 6-10 years and 11 and older. *Wristbands for the inflatables are $10 (for unlimited) and tickets are 3 for $5. One ticket per inflatable activity. Performances on the stage throughout the evening. Concessions will be available for purchase. |

The free event is held at the Litchfield Park Town Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring the entire family for this fun-filled day! The craft show begins at 9 a.m.; the parade starts at 10 a.m. complete with marching bands, youth groups and floats. The day includes real snow, activities, visits with Santa and live entertainment!

The City of Peoria invites the community out to enjoy the annual Old Town Holiday Festival. Take a stroll through Old Town Peoria and enjoy all the holiday activities. Presented by Sears Vacations, the event will feature live entertainment, a visit from Santa, 20 tons of snow!, crafters market, kid zone and a choral contest. The festival will take place south of Peoria and Grand avenues. Parking and admission are free. Some activities have a nominal fee. Food and beverage concessions will be available for purchase.

Winners will be chosen based on the following criteria: complied with rules, imagination, creativity, degree of difficulty and overall appearance. Prizes will be awarded to first through third places in each category for each division. There will be a $100 grand prize awarded for the Best Overall Large House and $50 for Best Overall Mini House. The houses will be on display during the Old Town Holiday Festival, December 2.

Santa will be available to visit with children and pose for pictures. Additionally, kids and their parents can watch planes take off and land while enjoying a meal at Deer Valley Airport Restaurant, which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner specials.
This is the 10th year Santa has flown into Phoenix Deer Valley. This event is free of charge.

Seasons an Holidays Galley Exhibit
This is the first juried winter/holiday themed Art Show at WHAM. To celebrate the closure of 2016, art from various local artists will be put up for the viewing and enjoyment of anyone who appreciates, or is interested in art. This event is free and open to the public, so be sure to bring family and friends. The pieces will be on display here at WHAM beginning on November 1, 2016. A reception for the artists and the public will take place on November 4, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. The show will end on December 30, 2016. This is an opportunity to see pieces of all mediums expressing and celebrating the coolest season in Arizona, so be sure not to miss ‘Seasons and Holidays’ hosted by WHAM West Gallery.
