I wanted to highlight an amazing person in the West Valley doing a fantastic job making a difference in her community as well as around the world.  Kristine Bender is the executive director of Water is Life, a non-profit that works to bring clean drinking water to communities as well as teach hygiene.  Kristine and her family live in Verrado where she also makes a difference to her neighbors and the youth there.  I had a chance to travel with Water is Life in 2012 to Haiti and it had a great impact on me. ~Michelle Hess
