Boys and Girls Club
Tri-City West Thornwood Branch 301 E. Western Avenue Avondale, Arizona 85323 Website **Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix Tri-City West / Thornwood Branch also suffered serious flooding during a monsoon. That Branch has already reopened. Rebuilding will take months, and recovering financially may take even longer. Even with insurance, the cost of three deductibles is significant, and we won’t be able to provide all the opportunities our kids need if we can’t make up the difference quickly. |
Donate now and Cox Communications will match your contribution dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix needs your support. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens, and we simply cannot do it without you. Please donate now. For every dollar donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix, $.89 directly benefits Club members. |

Shop with a Cop
Website |
The Shop With a Cop Program has many people to thank and many people involved. The program is sponsored by Pebble Creek HomeTours and facilitated with the help of many Goodyear businesses. Goodyear PD's Volunteers organize the day and it begins by serving breakfast to the children selected through an application process generated from Goodyear school officials' nominations.
Next, the children are taken to the Goodyear Wal-Mart on Estrella Parkway by an escort of well lit police cars, motorcycles, SAU vehicle, etc. Santa has the chance to visit with kids and provide gifts, love and laughter. Each child is presented with a gift certificate, and then the shopping spree begins! Goodyear Police Officers and Volunteers help the kids pick out toys. The children chose gifts for themselves as well as for their family members. The generosity of community businesses is what helps make this event such a great success. |
