G.A.I.N. is a statewide day of celebration for the success of crime prevention through community involvement.

In early celebration of Halloween, residents of all ages are invited to come in costume. Kids are encouraged to take part in a costume parade, and to ‘Trick or Treat’ at each of the department booths for candy and giveaways.

November 1st 10am - 1pm in the following neighborhoods: Canada Village: Canada Village Park, W. Lynnwood St. and N. 181st Ave. from 10AM - 1PM BBQ in the park: hot dogs, hamburgers, chips provided. Bring your own lawn chair. Historic Goodyear: Palmateer Park, E. La Crescenta Ave. and W. Western Ave. from 11AM - 1PM Potluck lunch, jumping castle, treasure hunt, face painting, raffles. North Subdivisions: Park De Paz, N. Manzanita Dr. and E. Calle Adobe Ln. from 10AM - 1PM Hotdogs, balloons, and games. Palm Valley Phase 2 & 3: Neighborhood Park located, N. 146th Ave. and W. Glendale invites you to coordinate a neighborhood party, promote safety and awareness of community issues and increase neighborhood communication and participation. Plan your party anytime between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. The length of the party is up to you.
